Feeback is due by Friday 11 November. Responses can be in any form, including annotated standards.
The main changes as a result of the review are:
- in standard 548 (level 1) the content has been refocused on oneself, and a new standard (NEW3) has been developed (level 2) with a more general focus on wellbeing/hauora
- standards 7123, 9695, 9696 (problem-solving) have been amended to more clearly differentiate them and to make them more practical: such amendments include amended titles, and credits for 7123 and 9695
- standard 12348 has been widened to focus on managing own emotions and not just anger
- standard 12355 now includes reference to short- and long-term stress
- standards 7117 and 16688 have become single-outcome standards
- the titles of these standards have been rephrased to better reflect the intended outcomes:496, 525, 548, 7127, 8824, 12348, 12352, 12354, 12359, 30910
- minor formatting and editing changes have been made to simplify and clarify where needed, and performance criteria have where necessary been turned into the passive voice to meet current requirements: these changes do not materially affect the outcome of the standard
- three new standards (NEW1, NEW2, NEW4) have been developed with a focus on online safety
- standards 7119, 11827, 12382 are recommended for expiry due to low and/or declining usage, and no discernible interest in future usage.
