Preface
We are proud to present a selection of images from the Ringa Toi student exhibition 2016. For the first time, a public exhibition showcased the artwork of secondary school students with a focus on Toi Māori. The exhibition took place at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Porirua Campus in early November. The work on display was at Excellence level, and showcased a range of Māori art forms including raranga, kākahu (wearable art), tukutuku, tāniko, whakairo, kōwhaiwhai, mahi-tā (paint, print, spray), uku, whakapakoko (sculpture) and mahi-matihiko (digital).
