Statement |
My artwork shows the balance between my modern world and my cultural world. I wanted to show that there will always be a time for tradition and what I value, even when my modern life feels like a first priority. I believe it is important to find the balance in between worlds because hanging onto your roots will prevent you from losing yourself. Me being the only coloured thing in the painting is focused on how self respect is always important no matter the background or situation. |
