Statement |
This art piece represents all tāne māori walking in the darkness. Sometimes our tāne māori find themselves walking alone and not being able to find te ao mārama. Its ok to speak out, its ok to ask for help. Section 1 (bottom): Represents the minority of tāne māori who speak out. Section 2: Tāne māori who don't speak out and walk a lonely dark path. Section 3: Our tāne māori who are in a still state of mind. Section 4: Our tāne māori who could couldn't see te ao mārama, and who have now passed on. |
