Statement |
My inspiration for this portrait comes from our theme of Te Haerenga o te Manu and experimenting with a DSLR camera and lensbaby for the first time. I explored the conventions of layering, texture and tone. I used my fathers taiaha and photographed through a piupiu using a manual focus lensbaby to get the distorted effect. I wanted to convey the feeling of being a strong woman. |
