Statement |
I have always been drawn to portraiture and when our class arrived at the Auckland Museum I was immediately taken by the bronze sculpture of Te Ware, Ngāi Tai, Ngāti Whanaunga and Te Waiohua. I was interested in the tā moko that he has and the way that this describes his whakapapa and his status in his iwi. |
