Kua whakairo tēnei hei taonga matua mō te ope haka, he kaupapa ka tū ki te kura ia rua tau. Ko tōna hanga he rite ki te tauihu o te waka. Our Ope Haka competition is one section connected to our Ope Tauā inter-house whakataetae every year. I wanted to use the tauihu of the waka as a trophy to represent the ope that finishes first in the haka challenge. In terms of the design, I have used the takarangi design that is connected by five niho taniwha with each niho taniwha representing the five different ope. This Ope Haka whakataetae is a whole term and is run bi-annually. |
