Statement |
My painting depicts my connection to my parents, whānau and iwi. The pikorua symbol shows how individuals sometimes go their own way on their path of life but always come back together because of their strong bond. The pattern was inspired by tukutuku, ngā taumata, and challenges I will face in my life - but knowing that my whānau, culture and tūpuna are with me always. |
