NZQA celebrated the success of the highest-achieving New Zealand Scholarship students with an awards ceremony held at Parliament on 11 May 2022.

The awards recognised the elite students who make up the 2021 Premier Award and Top Subject Scholarship Award winners.

Prime Minister's Award for Academic Excellence 2021

On 11 May 2022, Cameron Senior, formerly of Rangitoto college, was announced as winner of the 2021 award by the Deputy Prime Minister, Hon Grant Robertson.

Honourable Jan Tinetti presented the award.

Cameron achieved Outstanding Scholarships in Art History, English, Geography, Health and Physical Education, History, Physics, and Statistics.
