Outcome of the review
Qualifications developed under the mandatory review of Teacher Education qualifications (Levels 2-6) were approved and listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) in February 2016.

There are opportunities for cross-crediting between the following qualifications in the embedding of literacy and numeracy, and other areas, where the same skills and knowledge are required for each qualification:
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) [Ref: 2993]
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Vocational/Workplace) (Level 5) [Ref: 2754]
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Educator) (Level 5) [Ref: 2755]
Other areas in the qualifications where there is potential for cross-crediting, depending on programme design, include:
- Design
- Facilitation (embedding of literacy and numeracy in the delivery of a training or education programme
