Guidance for distance assessment
In response to the impacts caused by COVID-19 on assessment, NZQA has published the following:
NZ Certificates in English Language, English for Academic Purposes and English Language unit standards
Guidance for online assessment for NZ Certificates in English Language, English for Academic Purposes and English Language unit standards (PDF, 106KB). It addresses conducting assessments under test conditions and ensuring authenticity of learner performance.
Literacy and Numeracy unit standards
Guidance for Literacy and Numeracy unit standards - remote collection of evidence (PDF, 193KB). The evidence needs to be embedded in the learning activities that are part of the planned teaching and learning.
Niue Arts and Crafts
These documents include guidance for a faiaoga (assessor) that support their remote assessment of a tama aoga (student) who may be completing assessment from home.
