Achieved
Commentary | Student response |
---|---|
This exemplar was created using logic audio pro. This exemplar demonstrates a student-assembled 5 part 70 + bars sequence with tempo change and sonic clarity and depth. This exemplar meets Achievement criteria as the regions have appropriate timbres that are sonically clear. The sense of feel is somewhat ‘mechanical’ having correct pitch/duration/placement which could be improved with more crafted application of ‘humanised’ quantise feel/bends/articulation or a more live feel (as opposed to a “processed” feel that is currently present). There is an appropriate degree of depth to the sonic clarity that contributes to the integrity of the sequence. Improvements could be made to relative balance of mix effects/levels which could allow the exemplar to move into higher criteria. |

Merit

This exemplar was created using logic audio pro. This exemplar demonstrates a student-assembled 5 part 70 + bars sequence with tempo change and sonic clarity and depth. The regions have well-chosen timbres that enhance the sonic clarity. The sense of feel is not yet fully demonstrated (keeping the exemplar in Merit criteria). However the correct pitch/duration/placement could be improved with clever application of ‘humanised’ quantise feel/bends/articulation for a live feel. The depth and integrity of the sequence are enhanced by the choices of timbres and relative balance of mix effects and levels, including some well-crafted application facets of a live feel. |
