Completed reviews
2019 – Review and Revision of Special Education unit standards
Following a two-stage review and revision of the Special Education subfield, nine unit standards were published in October 2019 in the new subfield of Inclusive Education.
The classification change from Special Education to Inclusive Education and the creation of its two domains, reflects changes to language used by the sector. The standards were updated to reflect current educational policy and sector focus and provide up-to-date professional development tools for education support roles.
Details are available in the following change reports:
- October 2019 – Review and Revision of Special Education unit standards (subfield)
- March 2019 – Review of Special Education unit standards
