Legal Studies unit standards
Review of Legal Studies unit standards 2022

Consultation on reviewed Legal Studies, unit standards 27835-27852, closed on Friday 23 September 2022.
In response to consultation feedback amendments have been made to the draft unit standards. They are now being evaluated to meet NZQA quality requirements. All providers and stakeholders will be informed when the reviewed standards are published on the NZQA website.

Completed reviews
May 2021 - Revision of Legal Studies unit standard 10347
Details are available in the May 2021 Review of Legal Studies unit standards 10347 change report.
Main changes
Unit standard 10347 was replaced by a new 4 credit single-outcome standard with graded achievement criteria, Unit 32360, Evaluate key concepts of New Zealand’s legal system from pre-European practices to current practices.
Unit standard 10347 will expire at the end of December 2022.
October 2020 - Revision of Legal Studies unit standards

Main changes
- Relevant legislation, references, terminology and guidance information were updated across the standards to ensure they are current.
- Range items were amended across the set to ensure they are current.
- The titles for unit standards 8551, 8552 and 8555 were amended.
