An annotated exemplar is an extract of student evidence, with a commentary, to explain key aspects of the standard. It assists teachers to make assessment judgements at the grade boundaries.

The material in these exemplars cannot be used (either in part or in full) for internal or external assessments submitted for any form of grading.

Level 1

  • AS91066 - Use rendering techniques to communicate the form of design ideas (1.33)
  • AS91067 - Use the work of an influential designer to inform own design ideas (1.34)
  • AS91068 - Demonstrate the development of a design idea communicated through graphic practice (1.35)
  • AS91069 - Promote an organised body of design work to an audience using visual communication techniques (1.36)

Level 2

  • AS91340 - Use the characteristics of a design movement or era to inform own design ideas (2.33)
  • AS91341 - Develop a spatial design through graphics practice (2.34)
  • AS91342 - Develop a product design through graphics practice (2.35)
  • AS91343 - Use visual communication techniques to compose a presentation of a design (2.36)

Level 3

  • AS91628 - Develop a visual presentation that exhibits a design outcome to an audience (3.31)
  • AS91629 - Resolve a spatial design through graphics practice (3.32)
  • AS91630 - Resolve a product design through graphics practice (3.33)
